Frequently Asked QuestionsMalibu campervans tend to be built on a Fiat Ducato base as standard, which means they are efficient and handle well. It offers a low, wide frame for better interior space, smooth driving dynamics and advanced driver assistance systems, and is ideal for long-distance, all-season campervan travel. The Genius range, meanwhile, is built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, meaning a lot of vehicle but good handling and manoeuvrability.
The Malibu Genius features a ‘Supermax’ bathroom, which has been designed to offer luxury in a compact space. It includes a swivel toilet, integrated basin and articulated shower door that can extend into the central aisle, creating a spacious shower area as and when required. This design offers the functionality of a full motorhome bathroom within the footprint of a campervan.
Malibu campervans are engineered for all-season travel due to high-performance insulation, heated water tanks and optional diesel or Truma heating systems. The GRP sandwich construction, insulated windows and warm-air distribution throughout the cabin (including the double floor) help to retain heat during the winter and block excess warmth in the summer. These particular features make Malibu campervans suitable for cold-weather camping as well as extended trips across warmer climates.
